This past week we finished our 9 weeks testing...whew!
Friday we had some time to do some turkey art ( I LOVE doing art projects with the kids!). Thanks to one of my awesome third grade team for the idea! We outlined a turkey in many different colors with our crayons, cut them out, then painted them with watercolors. The result was some beautiful turkeys! We are going to have these displayed in the hallways with our turkey writing. I still haven't decided if I want to write about turkey facts (would work well as one of our writing portfolio pieces) or a persuasive writing from the turkey's point of view about why we should eat something different for Thanksgiving.
This coming week we are working on time (units of time, and elapsed time...this is a hard one!). Our next story is "Little Grunt and the Big Egg".
